Round Table Pizza at the South Y Center is under new ownership, management and received a makeover thanks to South Shore artist Apollo.

In December Chesapeake Management Group bought several of the pizza restaurants throughout the region and brought with them a management team whose eyes are set on making the pizza place part of a family-themed establishment.

Manager Fred Coy has 10 years of experience in the service industry, bringing with him key customer service skills essential for the changeover. Round Table has undergone a face-lift, including a mural done by Apollo in the front of the family restaurant.

“The area of concentration for this Round Table has been starting with the cleanliness of the entire store, to improvement of the product quality and making this a family-orientated pizza place,” Coy said.

Chesapeake Management Group strives to be community-friendly and actively involved with nonprofit community organizations and school functions by holding free tours, donating food and offering discounts for sports events, he said. Also at the restaurant are video games, a juke box and Thomas Kemper Root Beer on tap.

Round Table also offers a party room that is available for business meetings, birthday parties and group gatherings.
