Santa Paws Pet Photo benefit to be held

The 26th annual Santa Paws Pet Photo benefit will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center.

Your pet can take multiple poses with Santa Paws, which will be put on a disc and can be used from prints, greeting cards and emails. Mobile DJ Baxter will provide music and mobile groomer Jacki Wright will be on site to offer nail trims for a donation to the Lake Tahoe Humane Society and Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The 2013 Tahoe Pets Calendar will also be introduced and a raffle will be held.

All pets must be in a carrier or on a leash. Birds, cats, dogs and other companion animals are welcome. Donations of dry dog and cat food and cat litter will be collected to help stock the community pet food bank.

The benefit will be held from 11 am. to 4 p.m. Each photo session costs $20, which must be paid with cash or a check. All proeeds will benefit local Tahoe animals in need.
