Sign-ups taking place for Great Strides walk

Sign-ups are being held for Great Strides, a walk to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The walk, which will take place Sept. 7 in South Lake Tahoe, aims to provide an opportunity for people to support the fight to cure cystic fibrosis, according to a press release. Teams of families, friends, neighbors and co-workers are invited to participate.
The Wild Walk Rally will take place Sept. 6 from 6:30-8 p.m. at Forest Suites Resort at Heavenly Village, 1 Lake Parkway. Refreshments will be available and walker welcome gifts and information will be provided.
Check-in will begin at 9 a.m. Sept. 7. A Zumba warm-up will take place and the walk will begin at 10 a.m. Rest stops along the route will include lakeside stops. Lunch and beverages will be provided to participants. Children’s games, prizes and a raffle will also be part of the event.
