Wildflower hike at Sagehen Creek, hosted by the Sierra Club’s Lake Tahoe Area Group
Come and enjoy the many early bloomers at Sagehen Creek, which is just north of Truckee. The hike is four miles round trip with little elevation gain. The hike will begin at 9 a.m. and ends by about 3 p.m. To register and get directions, go to http://www.wildflowerhikes.com.
Black Rock Rendezvous, hosted by the Sierra Club’s Great Basin
Join with other users of the Black Rock Desert for a long weekend of mini-tours, seminars, volunteer work and networking. There will be music and dancing. Trip leader is David Book, (775) 843-6443.
Slow-paced conditioning hike, hosted by the Sierra Club’s Great Basin
The hike will last about two hours, covering three to four miles. It’s held every Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with minimal to moderate elevation gain in the parks and foothills of the Reno-Sparks area. For detailed information, call the Hike Hot Line at (775) 473-1445.

Join in on an after-work hike somewhere on the outskirts of the Truckee Meadows. Held every Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., these hikes are geared to condition for the tougher weekend outings coming up in summer. Peak bag of Clark Mountain, hosted by the Sierra Club’s Great Basin
The highest peak at the north end of the Virginia Range, just south of Patrick. Starting at the elevation of the Truckee River and climbing to 7,200 feet, 9.7 miles round trip with a 2,500-foot elevation gain. Moderately hard. Leader Ridge Walker can be reached at (775) 853-8055.
17th annual America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride

National Trails Day, hosted by the Tahoe Rim Trail Association

Weber Lake to Paradise Lake on The Pacific Crest Trail, hosted by the Sierra Club’s Lake Tahoe Area
