Stargazing to take place at Spooner Lake State Park

Professional stargazer Gigi Giles will host a laser-guided tour of the night sky Saturday at Spooner Lake State Park.

High-powered telescopes and astronomical binoculars will be available during the tour.

Guests are asked to wear comfortable shoes and bring a light jacket and flashlight. The tour is not recommended for young children and pets. Park entrance fees will be waived for the event.



The tour will take place from 8:30-10 p.m. Guests are asked to meet at Spooner Lake Park’s upper parking lot. The park is located near the intersection of Highways 50 and 28; from the intersection, travel a half-mile north on Highway 28 to the Spooner Lake Park’s entrance.
