Temple Bat Yam to celebrate song, trees

“Shabbat Shira – The Sabbath of Song,” will be celebrated Feb. 3 at Temple Bat Yam, 3260 Pioneer Trail, South Lake Tahoe.
From 5:45-6:15 p.m., there will be a “Potluck Nosh.” Participants should bring a dairy, fish or vegan (no meat) appetizer to share. At 6:15 p.m. the Shabbat service will be filled with the music of Temple Bat Yam.
The “Shabbat on the Snow” will take place Saturday, Feb. 4, at Heavenly Mountain. Meet at 10 a.m., at Tamarack Lodge for some turns. A short Shabbat (Sabbath) service will be held at 12:30 p.m., at Tamarack Lodge.
TuB’Shevat Seder (Tu B’Shevat means “New Year of Trees”) will be at 4:30 p.m. at Temple Bat Yam, 3260 Pioneer Trail, South Lake Tahoe.
A potluck dinner with dairy, fish or vegan dishes (no meat) will follow at 5:30 p.m. Bring food according to your last name: A-G: salad or side dish; H-P: entree; R-Z: dessert
