Volunteers needed for Sober Grad Night Party

Provided to the Tribune

Volunteers are needed for the South Tahoe High School Sober Grad Night Party. The celebration will take place from 9 p.m. June 15 to 4 a.m. June 16 at the South Tahoe Elks Lodge.

The party is the culmination of months of advanced planning and coordinating by the Sober Grad Night Task Force and the South Tahoe community to provide the STHS class of 2007 a safe, fun celebration. Festivities include fabulous food all night long, generous raffle prizes, extreme games, a casino area, a DJ, Mock Rock, a comedy/hypnotist show and fun happenings throughout the entire event.

Volunteers are needed for the night of the event to work three- or four-hour shifts at the various stations. No experience is necessary. If you are able to volunteer for this fun and extremely worthwhile cause call Lauren Thomaselli at (530) 542-9355.

Volunteers are also needed to help transform the Elks Lodge into Grad Party Central. The decorating committee, of which everyone is invited to be a member, will begin working from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 9. The committee will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 10 and 6:30 to 9 p.m. June 11 through June 14. On June 15 the committee will begin decorating at 10 a.m. and continue to work throughout the day.

No experience is necessary and all materials are provided. All interested individuals or community groups are invited to volunteer for this important event. No advance registration is necessary to be part of the decorating committee, just come when you are available during the above mentioned times.

For more information about decorating for Grad Night call Diane Stirling at (530) 577-2089.
