Widowed Persons plan activities

Widowed persons in the Tahoe area are invited to join the local chapter of the Widowed Persons Association of California each Wednesday at the Kiva Beach picnic area. Each person brings his or her own food and spends time visiting and getting acquainted. A fire is provided for those who wish to barbecue.

Members also meet monthly for lunch at a local restaurant chosen by a member. Other monthly no-host events are a mystery dinner and a pizza night. Once a month members join for a short business meeting and dinner at a member’s home.

Various trips are arranged for the group such as to Virginia City or theater productions out of town.

All widowed persons are eligible for membership. Information and a calendar of events can be obtained by calling (530) 542-4912.
