Four sessions of a workshop for women finding their way in today’s financial market have been scheduled in May and June. Each session of “Bulls, Bears and Beauty Queens” will begin at noon at The Cantina Bar and Grill, 765 Emerald Bay Road.
Financial consultant, Cheryl Sillings of Brookstreet Securities Corp., will walk women through the maze of stocks, bonds, money market, mutual funds, CDs and IRAs in language easy to understand. The workshop will be beneficial to all women in the community from the homemaker managing home finances to the business woman handling the intricacies of budgets, employees and 401Ks.
The session dates and topics are: May 16, The Softer Side of Stocks; May 30, Bonds for Blondes; June 13, Salad Bar of Mutual Funds; and June 27, Insurance Products — Your Money or Your Life.
The cost is $20 per session, which includes lunch and workshop materials. Women who attend all four sessions receive the last session at half price. Cash or checks only will be accepted. For reservations and more information call Candice at (530) 542-2733. Seating is limited to the first 20 reservations.
