Yacht Club prepares for racing with stew

Ahoy sailors! Lake Tahoe Windjammers Yacht Club invites everyone to attend its annual Oyster Stew and Clam Chowder Fest. The event will begin at 6 p.m. March 14 at 2163 White Sands Drive in the Tahoe Keys.

The current “Lake Tahoe Cup” holder, Ross Groelz, and his wife, Doris, will host the pre-sailing season kick-off party. The cost for the homemade oyster stew and chowder dinner is $10. Attendees may bring their own bottle, but please no red wine.

Windjammers Yacht Club welcomes everyone interested in the sport of sailing to attend this meeting, which will include an introduction to the fun and challenging aspects of yachting for cruising pleasure or racing. Whether they are a seasoned boat owner or one who would like to learn and crew aboard a vessel, coming to this meeting will ignite a person’s passion for enjoying the wind on the waters of Lake Tahoe.
