TRUCKEE, Calif. — The Truckee-Donner Recreation & Park District is pleased to introduce Chelsea Prince as its new director of marketing and communications, marking the initiation of its plans to increase public communications and expand brand awareness.
“We are excited to have Chelsea on board to help share the story of our award-winning recreation and park district,” said Dan O’Gorman, TDRPD recreation superintendent.
Chelsea Prince resides in Olympic Valley and hails from San Francisco, where she served as founder and chief marketing officer for Chelsea Print & Publishing, an internationally award-winning independent publishing house.
Prince is also the author of “Snowcial: An Antarctic Social Network Story,” and “Rock and Vine: Next Generation Changemakers in America’s Wine Country.”
Previously, Prince worked for Condé Nast in Manhattan, where she also started a social media company for interns.
An avid supporter of innovation and philanthropy, Prince has recently been featured as a commentator in Forbes, C Magazine and Wine Spectator, and as a guest speaker at schools including Stanford Business School and Harvard Business School.
In her new role at TDRPD, Prince utilizes her skills as a professional storyteller and marketer to promote the modern narrative of TDRPD’s portfolio of public spaces and countless adult and youth programs. Prince is also point-person for all community partnerships.
