Free estate planning workshop offered in Kings Beach

It’s never too early to start estate planning. If you have a family, getting your personal affairs in order is a must. The sooner you start planning, the more prepared you will be for life’s unexpected events.

Estate planning is a critical process for all, regardless of wealth level. Even if you only have debt (for example from a mortgage or student loans), not assets, you will want your finances dealt appropriately. If you have financially dependent individuals, such as young children or dependent adults, a plan is especially important.

Community House is pleased to present a free workshop in partnership with the Parasol Community Foundation on Estate Planning to help you begin a plan for the future.

James Burau and Judy Anderson, estate planning attorneys from Law Offices of James K. Burau, Ltd., will present information on: power of attorney, guardianship, wills and advance directives. The pair will cover what is needed at the end of life and what documents are needed to ensure your children are taken care of. The presentation will allow ample time for questions and answers individuals may have.

The workshop will take place on June 11, 5 p.m. at Community House, 8321 Steelhead Ave., Kings Beach. Seating is limited. To reserve a seat call Bojana Vujeva at 530-546-0952.
