Human potential Our key to shifting a world out of balance

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Who will you become when you shed the armor of the modern world to reveal the sustainable human, the human who will endure change? How do you discover the best parts of you? Is there a guidance system, a voice? Or does something nudge you at a visceral level to wake you up to the truth? Do you find the information in a book, from a teacher or life experience? Does anyone really care about these things? Do you? Then be present for the next TAHOE TALKS, Wednesday, March 27, 6:30 p.m. at For Goodness Sake in Truckee to discover your human potential. Presenters Rich Silver, founder of University of Earth, and Polly Triplat, originator of EarthSpirit Quests, will discuss their work in the field of human potentiality.

“Creating a truly sustainable society will require more than shrinking our carbon footprint. It will require that we humans realize our greater potentials,” states Silver, an award-winning educator who has spent more than 30 years investigating the mysteries of nature and human potential. He is the director of the nature-based wisdom school, University of Earth. Rich will tell us about his university and making our shift to the “Sustainable Self.”

“Never in the history of Earth has the fate of so many life forms and landforms been in the hands of one species. The true measure of success of the Homo Sapiens hangs in the balance, hinged by the thin thread of our commitments and actions.” Join Rich and learn more about human potential to change a world out of balance. Discover the University of Earth at www.uofearth.org.

Also presenting is Polly Triplat, originator of EarthSpirit Quests. “We live in a time when the world around us and within us is changing rapidly, a time where our society has become disconnected from the natural world. We long to connect to the true nature of who we are. We strive for greater clarity regarding the purpose and meaning in our lives.” Polly provides the curious human an opportunity to discover their truth through guided wilderness “Rites of Passage and Backpack Journeys.” She facilitates these journeys for people seeking deeper connection to the natural world and their life’s purpose.

Triplat has a mind filled with ritual and ceremony honoring the natural world. “We utilize the mirrors of nature and the reflections of human myth as a guideline for growth and understanding our inner nature. What emerges is a greater sense of self and finding a new way of embracing who we are.” In her words you can sense Polly’s dedication to bring forth a life changing experience for her students.
