TRUCKEE, Calif. — Ladies and gentlemen of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe volunteered at Stone Soup, a weekly community event hosted by Project MANA. The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe provided homemade gumbo soup, vegetable soup and bread along with 23 volunteers to prepare, serve and clean up at the event. The Ritz-Carlton’s Community Footprints Program has three guiding principles — engage, contribute and inspire — as part of their social and environmental responsibility toward the communities in which they operate.
The Ritz-Carlton believes a company should be aligned with the issues important to the communities where they operate and strive to make a difference in three specific areas: child well-being, environmental responsibility and hunger and poverty relief.
Stone Soup will wind up Sunday, March 24, 5-7 p.m. at the Community Arts Center, 10046 Church St. in downtown Truckee. Everyone is invited to celebrate food, live music and community at the Community Arts Center, 10046 Church St. in downtown Truckee. Take your own bowl and spoon and enjoy delicious soup and a good time. Donations are requested but not required.
