TAHOE CITY, Calif. — With the recent lack of snow and warmer temperatures, officials with the Tahoe City Public Utility District have begun to clear the community’s bike trails.
As of late last week, the Truckee River Trail, the North Shore Trail and a large part of the West Shore Trail had all been partially cleared of snow.
However, since the trails are not yet open, residents are urged to use caution, officials said in a press release last week.
“Although partially clear, it’s important to remember that the bike trails aren’t officially open and they have not been repaired, swept or marked,” officials said in a press release. “… Please use caution when on the bike trails and keep your eyes open for potholes, cracks, icy sections and debris.”
