North Tahoe crime logs, April 1-30

Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for April 1-20

April 1

On the 800 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drugs.

On the 200 Block of Chipmunk Street, deputies responded to a domestic dispute in which the male subject physical›ly assaulted his girlfriend. The male subject was arrested for domestic violence.

April 2

On the 500 Block of National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect opened accounts in victim’s name and charged more than $2,500.

April 3

On the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect tagged graffiti on the ground on public property.

On the 900 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, a female subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.

April 7

On the 400 Block Beaver Street in Kings Beach, a female was taken into protective custody due to her high level of intoxication. No charges will be filed.

On the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, two male ski instructors engaged in a verbal argument, at the ski area, which escalated into a physical altercation. Both parties declined prosecution.

April 8

On the 4300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, a subject was driving on a flat tire. Officers contacted the driver and turned him over to California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence.

On the 8700 Block of Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect entered a locked residence, broke several household items and left. Nothing was taken.

April 9

On the 9000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female subject was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance while she had been just released on her own recognizance for felony drug charges.

April 10

On the 200 Block of Old County Road in Tahoe City, a female driver was pulled over and turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

April 11

On the Highway 28 at Deer Street in Kings Beach, a male subject turned over to California Highway Patrol for driving under the influence.

An unknown suspect took victim’s wallet while she was on the bus in Kings Beach.

On the 1000 Block of Commonwealth Drive in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect poisoned the victim’s dog and cat. The dog did recover, but the cat did not survive.

April 12

On the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect broke the glass door to a local business. No entry was made.

On the 2000 Block of Northstar Drive in Truckee, an unknown suspect broke into a locked vehicle and took victim’s backpack.

April 13

On the 400 Block of Red Cedar in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

April 15

On the 1900 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect broke into vehicle and removed victim’s property. Property was left at the scene.

April 16

On Rainbow Avenue in Kings Beach, after a verbal argument, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

On Highway 28 at Highway 89 in Tahoe City, a male subject was turned over to CHP for driving under the influence.

April 20

On the 8600 Block of Speckled Avenue in Kings Beach, a female subject punched her ex-roommate in the face during an argument over property.

On the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, an unknown suspect took personal property out of victim’s unlocked vehicle.

On the 7300 Block of River Road in Truckee, an unknown suspect broke into vehicle and took personal items.

On the 7000 Block of Tiger Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect took an iPod out of victim’s unlocked vehicle.

On Grove Street at Bliss Court in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

April 21

On Highway 267 at North National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was pulled over for going 80 mph and was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

On the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a female was taken into protective custody for public intoxication after waking up in a vehicle and becoming combative and uncooperative with the fire personnel.

April 22

On the 2900 Block of Lake Terrace Avenue in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect keyed victim’s vehicle after engaging in a verbal argument with an unknown male.

On the 8700 Block Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect forced entry into residence, but did not take anything.

On the 100 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, an unknown male suspect fled the a business with a cart full with groceries and alcohol.

April 24

On Gas Line Road at Highway 267 in Kings Beach, a male subject was found sleeping in his vehicle. The subject was arrested for possession a felony weapon and marijuana in violation of his probation.

On the 7600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect has been using victim’s social security number. Report was taken for identity theft.

April 25

On the 200 Block of Fox Street in Kings Beach, officers took a report for assault and battery between two females. No prosecution desired.

April 28

On the 7000 Block of Yaho Avenue in Tahoe Vista, deputies responded to a report of disturbance. A male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

April 29

On the 100 Block of River Road in Tahoe City, an unknown male subject was confronted by employees after they witnessed him shoplifting meat from the business. The meat was located, the suspect was not.

On Highway 28 at Beaver Street at Highway 28 in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication after yelling and disturbing the neighbors.
