On the Hill: SUP the Upper Truckee to Lake Tahoe

On the Hill Summer, brought to you by The Steadman Clinic and the Steadman Philippon Research Institute, brings you a video report about a different Lake Tahoe adventure every day.

Today's activity: SUP the Upper Truckee River to Lake Tahoe.

Conditions: There's more than one way to get to Lake Tahoe; Dylan Silver shows us with a little stand up paddle boarding down the Upper Truckee River starting at the bridge at Highway 50 into Lake Tahoe. Dylan took off in early June, while the water was still high enough to float, but cautions as summer progresses the flows in the river will dip and you could encounter some trouble in certain spots.

Today's weather: Nothing but perfect summer weather this week. Today peaks at 90 degrees with really light winds at 5 mph. Rest of the week follows suit, with temps in the 80s. Summer's here; get out and enjoy the holiday weekend. — National Weather Service
