North Tahoe crime logs, June 1-14

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for June 1-14.

June 1

At midnight on the 8600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke into apartment and removed personal electronic items.

At 8 a.m. on the 5100 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect removed a motor off a boat while docked.

At 11 a.m. on the 5100 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect stole two wakeboards, racks and a water ski off victim’s boat.

June 2

At 5 p.m. on Sans Souci Terrace at West Lake Boulevard in Homewood, officers took a report of outgoing neighbor dispute over parking.

June 3

At 8 p.m. on the 700 Block of Chapel Lane in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole victim’s kayak from her yard.

June 4

At 1:30 p.m. on the 100 Block of Mackinaw Road in Tahoe City, after punching the side window of occupied vehicle, the driver called 911. It was determined the subject was intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for public intoxication.

June 5

At midnight on the 6900 Block of Grey Lane in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was taken into protective custody for drunk in public due to his disorientation and intoxication level.

At 11:30 p.m. on 3000 Block of Bigler Place in Tahoe City, a corporation duped an elderly female in sending them $2,500 in a fraudulent scam.

At 3 p.m. on North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a report was taken for female suspect passing bad checks to a local business.

At 3 p.m. on the 5100 Block of North lake Boulevard of Carnelian Bay, an unknown suspect took two downriggers off victim’s boat sometime on June 2 or 3, a $1,200 loss.

At 5 p.m. on the 200 Block Woodhill Ct in Tahoe City, two male subjects ensued in physical altercation. The victim does not wish to press charges.

At 11:45 p.m. on the 8600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

June 6

At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 28 at Coon Street in Kings Beach, a female driver was pulled over for having a passenger riding on the side of her vehicle. She was eventually turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

At 1:15 a.m. on Highway 28 at Secline Street in Kings Beach, after receiving a report of a male subject harassing employees in the area, officers took him into custody for public drunkenness.

At 10:30 a.m. on the 7000 Block of Idelwood Road in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect broke into residence and stole 17 bottles of liqueur and wine.

Victim witnessed a male subject stealing her unsecured bike from a parking lot. The suspect was located and was taken into custody for petty theft.

June 8

At 4 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for burglary after fleeing a business with $100 worth of groceries.

June 9

At 1:30 a.m. on Highway 28 at Coon Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

At 6 a.m. on the 1700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a very intoxicated male subject woke up in victim’s house without permission. He managed to knock over a lamp and caused $50 in damage. Homeowners wished to prosecute and signed a citizen’s arrest form. The suspect was booked and charged with trespassing and vandalism charges.

At 8 a.m. on 8200 Block of Steelhead Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect removed victim’s wallet out of her unlocked vehicle.

June 10

At 8:30 a.m. on the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect removed victim’s cell phone from a local business.

At 12:30pm on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, officers took a report for a dog bite. The victim was transported to the hospital, but skin was never broken.

June 11

At 6 p.m. on the 7700 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect stole victim’s camera from a restaurant.

June 12

At 1:30 p.m. on the 100 Block of Fir Crags Road in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect broke into a residence and removed a TV and other electronics.

June 13

At 7 p.m. on the 830 0Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a male and a female were arrested for possession of marijuana and child endangerment. They were contacted in their vehicle by a deputy when he smelled marijuana. The male half fled and was caught after a short foot pursuit. A child was in the vehicle at the time.

At 10 p.m. on the 200 Block of Fox Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant after he was found hiding under a bed in his mother’s residence.

June 14

At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 89 at Squaw Valley Road, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

At 1 a.m. on West Lake Boulevard at Mankato Place in Homewood, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.
