Free business seminar in Kings Beach to offer tips on finance, green practices

TAHOE/TRUCKEE, Calif. — Do you want to improve your business’s customer loyalty and marketability while saving money, conserving energy and creating jobs?

Attend a free small business seminar, “How to Go Green with Low-Interest Financing and More,” on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 8-9:30 a.m. at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach. The seminar will be taught by Tom Paschos and Kimberly Hawley of mPOWER Placer.

Now, more than ever, property owners are looking for ways to save money on their energy bills, reduce their impact on the environment and stimulate the local economy. With the help of mPOWER Placer (Money for Property Owner Water and Energy efficiency Retrofitting), that goal is easy.

mPOWER Placer will provide low-interest financing for energy efficiency improvements to qualified Placer County property owners, with no upfront costs.

“Our commercial participants are very pleased by the way mPOWER Placer financing has helped them increase their profit margins by lowering their utility costs,” said Kimberly Hawley, of mPOWER Placer. “The program works in partnership with all of Placer County’s utility providers to help property owners take advantage of available rebates and incentives. “

In addition, seminar attendees will learn how going green is the right thing to do and how it can improve their business. After the seminar, there will be a question and answer period. Register for the seminar online at http://ntbaxseminar.eventbrite.com.

The seminar includes complimentary continental breakfast for attendees who register online by Oct. 3. To register by phone or for more information about Free Small Business Seminars or about the North Tahoe Business Association, call 530-546-9000 or visit www.NorthTahoeBusiness.org.
