Warren Miller’s latest premieres at South Shore

The latest effort by legendary ski filmmaker Warren Miller, “Ticket to Ride,” will make a two-night stand at the South Shore next weekend before showing at Squaw Valley later in the month.

“The newest chapter in the legendary film series, “Ticket to Ride” will take film goers on an action packed journey with the world’s best skiers and snowboarders,” according to a press release from promoters. “Witness athletes at their career best, and discover the paths that put them at the top of the steepest peaks. Experience the immense energy of the world’s most sought after destinations for skiers and boarders – Alaska, Kazakhstan, Iceland, Greenland and all the exotic winter playgrounds. Look for world-class athletes as diverse as the terrain, including World Cup champions and Olympians, Seth Westcott, Ted Ligety and Julia Mancuso, plus legendary ski mountaineers like Chris Davenport and freeskiers Colby West and Sean Pettit. Once again, winter begins with Warren Miller, and the greatest season of the year starts now.”

“Ticket to Ride” is Miller’s 64th annual ski movie.

“Warren Miller shows are an experience — a pre-season party not to be missed,” according to the release. “Film attendees have a chance to win ski vacations, heli-trips, prizes and gear, plus meet the athletes and get access to exclusive resort and retail savings from Warren Miller partners.”

The film will also show at Squaw Valley Nov. 29 and 30.
