On February 13, Incline High School’s Highlander Battalion visited Project MANA once again in order to complete the JROTC requirement for community service.
The group of cadets consisted of six cadets and an instructor. The cadets who attended were Hunter Brown, William Cory, Brendon Ellis, Amhara Summerford, Ben Jordan and Oliver Larson.
The group sorted and packed crates of dried goods to be delivered to those members of the community that need the food.
Throughout this Service Learning Project, the cadets collected 500 pounds of food and donated to project MANA.
They had a positive attitude because they knew that they were making a difference in people’s lives. Many of these cadets said that the experience helped them develop their leadership and organizational skills.
