Kings Beach Open for Business Contest in full swing

Part of the KBCCIP Open for Business Marketing Campaign North Tahoe Business Association is a contest designed to draw patrons into businesses during construction. The “We’re Open, You Win” contest will run through Sept. 17 and offers Kings Beach residents and visitors a chance to win $500 cash plus weekly prize packages. Za’s celebrates one-year anniversary

This July Za’s celebrates its first anniversary reopen, in its original location behind Pete ’n Peters in Tahoe City.

In keeping with tradition Za’s has kept old favorites like Gorgonzola pizza and smoked chicken pasta, but added new tasty bites. Patrons can be served in the causal dinning room, in Pete ‘n Peters or enjoyed on the shared patio.

Za’s chef and owner Jonny Roscher’s commitment to high quality ingredients and consistency is unwavering. “From the bread to house ground burgers, at Za’s we make a much as possible from scratch,” he said.

Pete ‘n Peter’s owner David “Johnny B” Rutter added, “Having Za’s back in its original location makes Pete ‘n Peters feel complete again. Jonny Roscher is such a talented chef and great friend; it is an honor having our businesses linked.”

North Lake Tahoe Hospitality Super Star Program

The North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association’s Super Star program was created to help motivate and encourage excellent customer service in North Lake Tahoe. Super Star cards are distributed to guests through Visitor Centers in Kings Beach and Tahoe City. If a guest experiences exceptional customer service from an employee in North Lake Tahoe they can hand the employee a Super Star Card.

Any employee receiving a Super Star Card can fill out their information, mail, scan and email or turn the card into our North Tahoe Visitor Center. Super Stars are eligible to win fabulous prizes. A Super Star Employee of the Week will be recognized through social media platforms.

Peak Innovation Conference

Wednesday, Oct. 8 through Friday, Oct. 10. Business leaders, authors, change agents and active residents from throughout the state will gather, exchange ideas and lay the groundwork for creating a better Sierra Nevada at the Peak Innovation Conference in Tahoe City. Highlights include panel discussions, a talk by Van Jones, on stage interview with Terry Tempest Williams, a mini film festival, farm to table dinners, launch of the Climate Action Mitigation Planning group and more.
