Tahoe City PUD’s Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch to celebrate season

TAHOE CITY, Calif. — Cooler temperatures are setting in and holidays, along with family and community traditions are soon upon us. The Tahoe City Public Utility District, Parks and Recreation Department invites you and your family to celebrate their most beloved community tradition, the Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 19, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Rideout Community Center.

Join the Tahoe Community Nursery School, North Tahoe Family Resource Center, Salvaged, Tahoe SAFE Alliance, Liberty Energy, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, and others in this fun-filled afternoon — with something exciting for everyone.

This year’s event will cost $15 and will include carnival games, music, face painting, a jousting arena, a bounce house, cotton candy, costume contest, pumpkin pie eating contest, and a pony ride from Rancho Red Rock of Reno, Nev. Of course, the main attraction will be the Pumpkin Patch! Choose from medium to large-sized pumpkins available for purchase. Prices will range from $3 to $7.

If you would like to come down for lunch, the Tahoe Mother’s Club will have their fabulous barbecue pulled-pork sandwiches available for purchase. Also, the ever popular “Pumpkin Seed” hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m. sharp. Don’t forget to dress up and enter in the costume contest.

For more information contact Sara Scheid, recreation coordinator for the TCPUD Recreation Department, at 530-583-3440.
