Nevada Day is Friday, and a lot of local offices, including the IVGID administration offices and the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, will be closed so the employees can celebrate the 75th birthday of our great state.
Just in time to get everyone in the mood for Nevada Day, The Ghost of Mark Twain will present a 90-minute program, “Nevada 150 Years Ago,” on Friday, Oct. 25, at the Mark Twain Cultural Center and Toccata Guttman Music Hall located in the Village Center. On Saturday, Oct. 26, the annual Nevada Day Parade in Carson City features the hot air balloon event at 8 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. flyover by the military and then the parade. For other events go to www.nevadaday.com.
The Rotary Club of Incline Village invites all community veterans and active duty members plus spouses to a luncheon on Monday, Nov. 11, to celebrate Veterans Day at the Donald W.
