5th annual North Tahoe father daughter dance next Friday

Five years ago, a group of moms spearheaded the Tahoe SAFE Alliance Father Daughter Dance to give their daughters, and others in the community, an opportunity to spend a memorable night with their fathers.

This event has grown each year, and last year nearly 400 father-daughter couples attended from communities along the North Shore and Truckee.

The fifth annual Father Daughter Dance takes place Feb. 7 from 6-9 p.m. at the Tahoe Biltmore and is sponsored by Dress the Part(y), Squaw Valley, Sugar Bowl, Vail Resorts/Northstar California, North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, Sierra Sun and The Weekly.

Entertainment at this year’s event will feature dancing, snacks, activity stations for all ages, portraits by Danielle Hankinson Photography and an opportunity to purchase a live action photo flipbook keepsake.

This event is an opportunity for fathers to spend a memorable night with their daughters and leave with souvenirs that will always bring back lasting and cherished memories.

Tickets are $25 for a father-daughter couple and $5 for each additional child in advance at www.tahoesafealliance.org. Tickets are $30 at the door. Scholarships are available for families in need; call 775-298-0010 for information.
