EDITOR’S NOTE: “Tip of the week” is a periodic feature running in the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza, in partnership with the Incline Village General Improvement District, providing locals with various tips pertaining to the recreation opportunities and services the district provides.
We all should get in the habit of expressing our love and appreciation for our family and friends daily and Valentine’s Day is the perfect reminder to do so.
Below are a few tips on how you can celebrate with your sweetie tomorrow.
Parent’s Night Out: Don’t have a babysitter? No problem. The Incline Village Recreation Center is hosting a special Parent’s Night Out on Valentine’s Day. Kids in kindergarten through fifth grade can hang out at the Rec Center, swim, do crafts, play games, and watch a movie. This night of freedom only costs $24 per child ($19 with and IVGID pass), runs from 5:30-9:30 p.m., and includes dinner and snacks. Register at the Recreation Center (980 Incline Way) or call 775-832-1310.
Valentine’s Day Last Tracks Wine Tasting: Diamond Peak’s Last Tracks is the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day if you love wine, skiing and Tahoe! From the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge you can enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Tahoe while tasting fine wines by Francis Ford Coppola Winery paired with appetizers. Watch the sunset and then ski down a freshly groomed run. This romantic event will only set you back $34 per person ($29 for Diamond Peak Season Passholders) and includes a lift ticket valid 2-4 p.m.
Valentine’s Dinners: Many restaurants in town are offering special menus or offers for Valentine’s Day. Catch the sunset from the Highway 431 lookout, or one of the many scenic spots in town, and then splurge on a fancy dinner.
Make sure you make reservations for these date ideas and show some extra love to your sweetie.
