Sugarpine Engineering, Inc. of Truckee hires new employee

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Sugarpine Engineering, Inc. of Truckee welcomes Aaron Lubrano as their newest employee.

He returned to Truckee after two years active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard in Alameda. As USCG Commander and Planning Section Chief, he oversaw the planning of the America’s Cup race in 2012 and 2013.

This included the USCG’s federal permitting, special regulation development, environmental review and operational planning for the Cup.

As a reservist and engineer, Lubrano worked the prior six years as project manager for Beaudin Ganze Consulting Engineers in Truckee.

He is a registered professional engineer, LEED accredited professional, certified energy manager, and Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve.

Lubrano brings enhanced energy engineering, commissioning, LEED, and environmental consulting to Sugarpine.

Sugarpine Engineering’s services include large-scale mechanical engineering; geothermal and solar design; permit plans; specifications; infrastructure and site utility coordination and mitigation; LEED/CalGreen documents and calculations; detailed energy-cost simulations; insulation and thermal performance simulations.
