“Baby and Me” is a six-class series for parents and infants, ages 3 months to walking, taught by longtime lactation consultant and nursing professional Cindy Bansen. The classes are fun and educational with organized activities, music, puppets, speakers and informal discussions weekly. Educational topics include child development, health, feeding, sleep, teething, traveling with baby and infant safety.
The series begins Friday, Sept. 19, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at the Family Resource Center of Truckee next to KidZone Museum on Donner Pass Road.
Early registration by Sept. 5 costs $72; after Sept. 5 the cost is $90, with scholarships available.
“Baby Massage” is a six-class series for parents of infants, ages newborn to crawling, taught by longtime certified massage instructor and nursing professional Linda MacKenzie Parks.
Baby Massage provides a myriad of positive impacts for babies and parents including bonding and attachment, relaxation and verbal and non-verbal communication. It improves infants’ circulation, digestion and neurological organization and increases parents’ confidence and skills in parenting.
