‘Miles for Music’ Tahoe Sierra Century’s theme

Ride “Miles for Music” in the Tahoe Sierra Century 12th annual community fundraiser to benefit North Tahoe middle and high school band programs.

Choose from a 30-mile fun, flat ride to Donner Lake; a more challenging 60-mile ride up Donner Summit, a 3,000-foot elevation gain; or a 100-mile century including with 7,200-foot elevation gain. Fully supported ride with rest stops, lunch stops and SAG wagons. The middle and high school bands will perform during the after-ride dinner in Squaw Valley.

Cost is $70 for the 60- and 100- mile routes, $55 for the 30-mile route before Sept. 1. Last minute rate through Sept. 12 is $80 and $65. Tandem, family and group rates available. Entry fee includes rest stops, lunch, after ride dinner, water bottle and Tahoe Sierra Century ChicoBag (compact, reusable stuff bag).

Course opens at 7 a.m. After ride dinner served 1:30-6:00.

Register on-line until noon on Friday, Sept. 12. Open for registration/check-in on Sept. 12, 4-8 p.m. Day-of event check-in/registration opens Saturday 6:30 a.m., subject to space/availability. Look for signs and find Tahoe Sierra Century representatives inside The Inn Shop at PlumpJack’s (just to the right of the tram building at Squaw Valley USA).

The after ride dinner will be served by Firesign Pasta & Pizza in the Village from 1:30-6 p.m. Non-rider dinners available for $11.

Ride will be held rain or shine. Sorry, no refunds.

All proceeds go to local middle and high school music programs.
