Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff`s Office press log for July 4 – July 11.

July 4

At 12:30 a.m. on Golden at Bear Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public intoxication.

At 12:30 a.m. on Highway 89 at Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was contacted on a traffic stop and was arrested when it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of El Dorado County.

At 3:15 a.m. on Coon Street at Brook Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was contacted on the street and was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Placer County.

At 12:30 p.m. on Highway 89 at Alpine Meadows, victim was driving along the highway when his windshield shattered. The victim believes an unknown suspect fired a gun at his vehicle causing damage.

At 4:20 p..m. on Highway 89 at Alpine Meadows, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected Dui.

At 5 p.m. on the 2200 Block of River Road, a male subject was taken into protective custody due to extreme intoxication.

At 11 p.m. on the 400 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject smashed his hand through the window of a business during a heated argument with his girlfriend. The suspect agreed to pay for the damages.

At 11 p.m. on Fairway Drive in Tahoe City, a female suspect was taken into protective custody due to her high level of alcohol.

At 11:15 p.m. on the 200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for drunk in public.

July 5

At 1 a.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was contacted as he was vomiting up the excessive alcohol. The subject was too intoxicated to care for himself and was arrested for public intoxication.

At 2:30 a.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was taken into protective custody for public drunkenness.

At 3 p.m. on the 9000 Block of River Road in Truckee, an unknown suspect stole personal items from a campsite.

At 5:45 p.m. on Highway 89 at Alpine Meadows, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

At 9:30 p.m. on the 200 Block of Chipmunk Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was issued a citizen`s arrest for disturbing the peace. The suspect was advices to turn down the music, but turned it back up as soon as the deputies left.

At 11:45 p.m. on the 600 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, report was taken for assault with deadly weapon. An unknown suspect hit victim in the face with a bottle because he thought the victim hit his wife.

July 7

At noon on the 100 Block of Tiger Tail in Olympic Valley, a male subject stole victim`s purse from her vehicle parked at her vacation home in Squaw Valley a month earlier, but she never reported it. The suspect was already incarcerated in Plumas County for similar crimes and admitted to the theft on Tiger Tail. The suspect was also tied to several other thefts that occurred in the North Lake Tahoe area.

At 5 p.m. on Highway 89 at Alpine Meadows, an unknown suspect removed victim`s wallet from her unlocked vehicle.

At 6:30 p.m. on the 300 Block of River Road in Truckee, two male co-workers got into a fist fight over tools. The victim desired prosecution, but the DA declined to file charges.

July 8

At 11:30 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject started a bar fight and was subsequently arrested for battery and public intoxication.

July 9

At 10:30 p.m. on the 100 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male passenger on a traffic stop became so belligerent to deputies he was arrested for extreme intoxication.

July 10

At 10 a.m. on the 6600 Block of McKinney Creek in Homewood, an unknown suspect stole victim`s bench from the backyard.

At 1 p.m. on the 100 Block of Alpine Meadows Road, unknown suspects vandalized rental house over 4th of July weekend.

At 6 p.m. on McKinney Rubicon Trail in Tahoma, a male subject accidently ran over his wife`s leg while four wheeling.

July 11

At 1:45 a.m. on Highway 28 at Agatam Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a male subject was pulled over for speeding and was subsequently turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspicion of DUI.

At 8 a.m. on the 8600 Block of Trout Avenue in Kings Beach, report was taken for domestic disturbance. Male and female got into a verbal argument over child custody issues.
