Truckee Donner PUD offers free toilets, holds garden party

TRUCKEE, Calif. — Truckee Donner PUD hosted a Garden Party & Seminar on Monday, Aug. 12 and delivered a successful gathering for water customers. Landscape experts and local exhibitors were on hand to talk about plant selection, irrigation and landscape design. Attendees toured the Patricia S. Sutton Conservation Garden and received information regarding how to save water, reduce erosion and have a beautiful yard.

Truckee Donner PUD’s “Toilet Exchange” was held on Saturday, Aug. 10. Qualifying water customers who visited the Tahoe Donner Driving Range were able to exchange their old toilets for free, water-saving, 1.6 gpf toilets. Along with their new toilet, they took home other free water-saving measures.
