North Tahoe crime logs, Aug. 17-31

Below are select incidents from the Placer County Sheriff’s Office press log for Aug. 17-31.

August 17

• At 6 p.m. on the 9000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, the reporting party witnessed four subjects skateboarding in a drained pool. Report was taken for trespassing.

August 18

• At 12:45 a.m. on the 4000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Carnelian Bay, officers took a report of assault. A son punched his father in the head during an alcohol-induced altercation.

• At 7:45 p.m. on the 8300 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female was found passed out alongside a building in Kings Beach. She was taken into protective custody for public intoxication and released when she sobered up.

August 19

• At 11:30 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, a male subject admitted to shoplifting a bottle of alcohol on August 14. Charges are pending.

• At 4:15 p.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, a report was taken for battery between two females. The suspect pushed and scratched the victim after verbal argument.

• At 7 p.m. on the 800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, after receiving a report of a male subject refusing to leave a business and harassing the customers, officers arrested the subject for drunk in public.

August 20

• At 2 p.m. on the 6600 Block of River Road in Olympic Valley, a male subject was arrested on two out of county felony warrants.

August 21

• At 2 p.m. on the 1200 Block of Canterbury Drive in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect stole victim’s gem stones from her back porch, worth $40.

• At 3:30 p.m. on the 8100 Block of Rainbow Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect destroyed two “No Trespassing” signs on victim’s property.

August 22

• At 10:30 a.m. on the 8600 Block of Dolly Varden Avenue in Kings Beach, sometime in the past, an unknown suspect stole a paddleboard from victim’s yard.

• At 11 a.m. in Little Rock, Ark., an unknown suspect charged over $900 on victim’s credit card at Kmart. The victim was on vacation in Lake Tahoe during the crime.

• At 2:45 p.m. on the 8000 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a victim left his camera behind at a timeshare. When victim contacted the property manager, none of the staff had located it. Report was taken for theft.

• At 8:45 p.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, a female suspect was seen on video camera leaving the store without paying for grocery items.

August 23

• At 10:30 a.m. on the 200 Bear Street in Kings Beach, an unknown male suspect robbed a local bank.

August 24

• At 10:30 p.m. on the 500 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for public intoxication.

August 25

• At 3 a.m. on the 1800 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, a male subject was found passed out on the floor of a business and was taken into custody for drunk in public.

• At 8:45 a.m. on the 8300 Block of Trout Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect brandished a knife at two males.

August 26

• On the 1000 Block of North Star Drive in Truckee, sometimes overnight, an unknown suspect stole a large trampoline from a business.

• At 2 p.m. on the 5000 Block of West Lake Boulevard in Homewood, an unknown suspect cut a lock and cable and stole victim’s bicycle, $3,000 in loss.

• At 3 p.m. on the 8700 Block of Salmon Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke victim’s windshield sometime overnight.

August 27

• At 6 a.m. on the 8300 of Loch Levon in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke victim’s windshield sometimes overnight.

• At 7:30 a.m. on the 200 Block of Fox Street in Kings Beach, sometime overnight an unknown suspect stole victim’s stereo out of unlocked vehicle.

• At 9 a..m on the 8700 Block of Salmon Avenue in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect broke victim’s windshield overnight.

• At 10:45 a.m. on the 8200 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Kings Beach, an unknown suspect cut a lock to a shed and stole cash.

August 28

• At 2 a.m. on the 3000 Block of Lake Forest Road in Tahoe City, a male subject was arrested for public drunkenness and cited for infraction possession of marijuana.

• At 10 a.m. on the 1900 Block of Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley, sometime overnight, an unknown suspect stole a coffee table from the lobby of a hotel.

• At 12:30 p.m. on 100 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, an unknown suspect stole a park bench sometime overnight.

August 29

• At 9:45 a.m. on the 400 Block of National Avenue in Tahoe Vista, a possibly known suspect vandalized victim’s vehicle by scratching “Liar” and “Cheater” on the car.

• At 5 p.m. on Moana Cir in Tahoma, an unknown suspect stole victim’s inflatable dinghy.

August 30

• At 11:45 p.m. on Highway 89 at West River Street, two intoxicated subjects started fighting near the river. The suspect pushed victim into the river and then kicked him. No prosecution desired.

• At 7:15 p.m. on Bear Street at Trout Avenue in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

• At 7:55 p.m. on Trout Avenue at Deer Street in Kings Beach, a male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

• At 10:45 p.m. on the 7900 Block of North Avenue in Tahoe Vista, another male subject was turned over to California Highway Patrol for suspected DUI.

August 31

• At 3 a.m. on the 7800 Block of North Lake Boulevard in Tahoe Vista, an unknown suspect shoplifted a case of PBR from a grocery store.

• At 3 p.m. on Highway 89 at Fir Crags Road in Tahoe Vista, two male subjects got into a verbal argument over a parking issue. One of the males brandished a snow pole in a menacing manner. Report was taken.
