Janet Martin and her daughter, Megan Martin, are showing a body of new work at North Tahoe Arts for the month of October.
Megan’s work is mainly mixed media paintings, combining collage, painting and, at times, beading appliqué. She also will show works in ceramic and glass.
Janet Martin, known for her whimsical fused slumped glass work, will exhibit new mixed media works on canvas exploring techniques in collage and painting. Artwork will be on display in the Main Gallery through Nov. 4.
North Tahoe Arts also embraces the changing of the seasons with a group exhibition of “Harvest Art.” Artwork with an autumn theme by Lucinda Johnson and Sue Spencer explore landscapes in pastel.
Lainie Vreeland’s work is composed of all handmade, three-dimensional pieces celebrating the color of the season. Artwork will be display in the Corison Loft Gallery through Nov. 4.
An artists reception for both displays will be hosted at North Tahoe Arts on, Friday, Oct. 11, from 5-7 p.m. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome.
