A South Lake Tahoe man was arrested Friday after allegedly stabbing another man in the chest during an altercation at a home on the 3800 block of Pentagon Road.

Randy R. Rubino, 26, was booked into the El Dorado County Jail facility in South Lake Tahoe on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and remains in custody, according to jail records.

South Lake Tahoe police responded to a report of the stabbing at about 9:45 p.m., according to Lt. Brian Williams.

The 22-year-old victim was flown to Renown medical center in Reno for treatment. He is in stable condition, according to police.

A preliminary investigation of the incident has been turned over to the El Dorado County District Attorney, Williams said.
