TRUCKEE, Calif. — Comments are being taken on an environmental report that studied proposed mountain improvements at Northstar California.
The Northstar Mountain Master Plan outlines upgrading existing ski lifts, widening of existing ski trails, new/replaced ski lifts and trails, and the infrastructure to support those improvements across the next several years.
The project’s draft Environmental Impact Report found the upgrades could have significant environmental impacts, some of which are unavoidable.
Comments received included potential drainage and groundwater impacts to the nearby Aspen Grove community, along with potential traffic and environmental concerns.
Responses and document revisions were included in a final EIR released earlier this month. Click here to read the final EIR.
Locally, hard copies are located at the Placer County Tahoe Office, 775 North Lake Blvd., Tahoe City; Tahoe City Library, 740 North Lake Blvd.; and Truckee Library, 10031 Levon Avenue.

Comments should be received prior to a June 26 Placer County Planning Commission hearing.
