Burglary reported at Tahoe jewelry store

South Lake Tahoe Police are investigating a smash and grab at Simpson’s Jewelers near Heavenly Village that was reported early Wednesday morning.

Four suspects smashed through a window and display cases and took various pieces of jewelry from the store, located in a shopping center on Lake Tahoe Boulevard, Lt. Brian Williams said.

Four people are believed to have been involved in the burglary and suspected to have a used a Ford F-250 that was reported stolen in South Lake Tahoe earlier in the night.

South Lake Tahoe Police were executing a search warrant related the case Thursday evening, but as of press time no one had been taken into custody.
