Free running talk at the South Shore

Whether you’re looking to run five kilometers or more than 100 miles, a lecture in South Lake Tahoe this week can provide some information to get you on your way.

Alan and Caroline Barichievich, Barton Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine’s husband and wife duo and ultramarathoners, will host a free lecture entitled “Running, It’s Your Journey” on Tuesday.

“With years of running and rehabilitation experience, the two will provide advice for runners of all levels,” according to an announcement for the event. “Topics will range from how to improve your running performance, proper gear, attire, as well as injury prevention and treatment.”

The free lecture runs from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20 at Lake Tahoe Community College, which is located at One College Drive in South Lake Tahoe.

The talk is part of Barton Health’s Health & Wellness Lecture Series, which features a wide range of health topics and runs through the end of the year. Following the running lecture “The Healthier You — Ten Steps to Better Living” takes place at LTCC June 4.
