Tunnel Creek farmers market open July 3

Lake Tahoe Markets will hold a farmers market to coincide with a mountain bike and hike event from 4 to 7 p.m. July 3 at Tunnel Creek.

The market offers fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, artisan baked goods, honey, candles, soaps, crafts and face painting for children.

Library plans CSI workshop July 9

Join other teens and the Douglas County Public Library Teen Advisory Board from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 9 at the Minden library, where Sgt. Pat Brooks from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office will walk teens through a staged crime scene investigation. Participants can examine evidence and learn crime scene techniques.

The free program includes snacks and beverages. Sign up is required by Tuesday, July 8.

The Teen Crime Scene Investigation workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library and Douglas County Public Library TAB. The Minden Library is located at 1625 Library Lane.
