Letter: A political yellow jacket nest

Oh, my. Two weeks ago a yellow jacket nest was kicked up. Did that ever start to expose a ruckus.

It seemed as though we were talking about a “witch hunt.” Now, the situation might be better described by using the more modern term called “bullying.” Folks of South Lake Tahoe, on your city council sits an individual who speaks your language, talks your talk, and walks your walk. She is looking out for the good and well-being of you — “the people.” To the best of her knowledge and ability, she is protecting and directing your tax dollars. Some other people in this city don’t like her style of doing business, which is fair and forthright. They are attempting to discredit her politically. They are using behind-the-scenes tactics, sometimes called “bullying.”

Now, I was recently informed, “we” should be careful what “we” say because “we don’t want anybody to get hurt.” Does “hurt” mean politically, character-wise, financially, professionally, or physically? Does this sound like some sort of implied threat? Is this bullying?

So now, how does the “threatened” protect herself? She could run from the yellow jackets (bullies), which is probably what the yellow jackets want. She could stay and swat and fight, which could make a great show, where she and many of yellow jackets could “get hurt.” I believe she can be pretty thick-skinned, when needed, so this could be a very interesting confrontation.

Oh, and on a side note, the yellow jackets should be very careful who they talk to and what they say. It might come back to sting them.”

In any case, don’t forget to look for the truth. Enjoy the show.
