Wayans Brothers to appear at MontBleu

Live comedy will become a family affair at Stateline this weekend, when sibling actors Shawn and Marlon Wayans perform at MontBleu Theatre Saturday.

The two first appeared onscreen in the 1989 film “I’m Gonna Git You Sucka,” directed by elder brother Keenen Wayans. Shortly thereafter Shawn and Marlon Wayans joined the television sketch comedy series “In Living Color,” along with Jim Carrey, Jamie Foxx and others.

The brothers took on writing and production duties in the ‘90s, creating and starring in television’s “The Wayans Brothers” and cult comedy “Don’t Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood”.

Hollywood blockbusters followed with “Scary Movie,” “White Chicks,” and “Little Man,” each receiving highly critical reviews while grossing more than $100 million worldwide.

Most recently, Marlon Wayans starred in the 2013 comedy “A Haunted House” along with Cedric the Entertainer, David Koechner and others.
