Donald Glaude brings the house to MontBleu for Friday dance-off

If the bass of exploding fireworks isn’t enough, MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa has you covered.

DJ Donald Glaude headlines a July 5 lineup at the Red, White and Boom blowout that includes DJ Erik Lobe, Star Kommand and Conspiracy Theory. The Washington state-based house DJ will bring his sprawling house mixes to the patriotic party.

According to his website, Glaude was schooled in classical music from an early age and learned to play the upright bass and violin. With an ear for blending sounds, he took up electronica and hasn’t looked back since. He counts George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic among his influences. Glaude has been a standout in the house scene since 1999. He’s been featured in DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs feature.

“For Donald, house music is not simply a mixed bag of sound, but rather an experience that provokes the soul,” according to his online biography. “Apart from his mastery on the decks, Donald is best known for his dynamic showmanship. He enjoys his music as much as his audience does. Embracing their energy, it is not uncommon to find Donald pumping his hands in the air, jumping up and down and shouting back his love to the crowd.”
