Murs keeps the party going at MontBleu’s Blu

Rapper Slug will collaborate with longtime DJ Ant as Atmosphere at MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa Thursday.

After the outside performance, another one of Slug’s longtime collaborators, Murs, will take the show inside for the after party.

Slug and Murs have collaborated on three albums, each dedicated to a different female celebrity: “Felt: A Tribute to Christina Ricci” (2002), “Felt, Vol. 2: A Tribute to Lisa Bonet” (2005), and “Felt 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez” (2009).

But those albums are only a few of the credits for the prolific rapper, who came up with California’s Living Legends crew and has appeared on dozens of albums and put out several well-received solo records.

The 35-year-old Murs is also a member of the 3 Melancholy Gypsys, which he formed in high school with classmates Scarub and Eligh, in addition to the punk fusion band The Invincibles.

His debut album for Warner Bros., “Murs for President,” arrived in 2008 and reached number 11 on the Billboard Rap Albums chart and number 45 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart.

“Love & Rockets, Volume 1: The Transformation,” was issued in 2011 and was followed in 2012 by his solo LP and graphic novel project,“Yumiko: Curse Of The Merch Girl.”
