One of Sacramento’s hottest reggae-rock bands will be sizzling at Steamers Bar & Grill in South Lake Tahoe Friday. In the midst of a busy summer touring season, Arden Park Roots is playing its first of three August shows at the South Shore.
Formed in 2007, Arden Park Roots is Tyler Campbell (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Nick Ledoux (guitar), Spencer Murphy (bass) and Jason Duvall (drums).
Self-described “herbal advocates,” Arden Park Roots released its third studio album “Pipe Dreams” in 2011. The band has won several local music awards, and was inducted into the Sacramento Hall of Fame in 2012.
Arden Park Roots has shared the stage with bands such as Slightly Stoopid, the Expendables, Matisyahu and others. They’ve also been hitting the festival circuit this summer, appearing at the California Roots Music & Arts Festival in May, Reggae in the Hills and Big Sur festivals in June and Santa Cruz Music Festival in July.
After hitting Steamers, the band has two more South Lake Tahoe shows scheduled this summer, playing MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa Aug. 24 and the Live at Lakeview concert series Aug. 29.
