Together with our members, we were asked to organize distribution of Tahoe Conservancy wood that was split and stacked by California Conservation Corps. Lots of hard work went into the project by these groups.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, Kiwanis,Tahoe Turning Point and the California Conservation Corps distributed the wood made available from the Tahoe Conservancy to 13 local disabled or elderly individuals. They expressed much thanks as trucks and trailers donated by K&K Tree Services dropped off their wood. I’d like to express my thanks to the volunteers from Tahoe Turning Point and California Conservation Corps for their labor loading, dropping and stacking the wood. It’s reassuring for me to see these youth groups helping the community as they do.
A special thank you goes out to Ken for his truck and trailer that made delivery possible. His expertise and safe practices kept the project going smoothly.
No more wood will be distributed through Kiwanis this year.
