Runaway Shingle Springs teen found

Thanks to a public tip, a Shingle Springs teen missing for 10 days was found alive and well in the Cameron Park area Monday afternoon.

Juliet Riffey, 15, ran away from home the night of Friday, Nov. 1, police said.

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office notified area media outlets and asked for the public’s help in locating the girl.

A 911 caller reported a possible sighting of Riffey in the Cameron Park area on Monday, Nov. 11. Deputies immediately responded and located her.

Detectives say they have ruled out any criminal activity and are classifying the case as a voluntary runaway situation.
