EDCOE hands out ‘Excellence in Education’ awards

As an annual tradition, the El Dorado County Office of Education (EDCOE) has recognized selected employees who have helped deliver high-quality education to the children of El Dorado County this year.

“Despite job titles, everyone who works to support a child’s education, at any level, is an educator in our eyes – everyone who works at EDCOE, directly or indirectly, has the potential to make a difference in the lives of children,” said EDCOE Superintendent of Schools Jeremy M. Meyers. “It is crucial that we recognize those individuals who every day go above and beyond, while delivering the highest-quality education to our students.”

EDCOE’s inaugural “Excellence in Education” award went to Jamie Frink, a teacher of the intellectually disabled at Rolling Hills Middle School, for her dedication and commitment to El Dorado County’s diverse student population.

Individuals were also recognized in various departments, including: David Seabury, Network/System Administrator, Information Technology; Sandee Bangs, Teacher, Child Development; James Barrett, Program Technician, SELPA; Lynda Dill, Senior Secretary, Charter; Tiffany Lucchesi, Health Assistant II, Special Services; and Eileen Hartley, Program Assistant, Personnel Services
