Boy Scout Spring Court of Honor held

Boy Scouts of South Lake Tahoe’s Troop 594/468 held their Spring Court of Honor on Monday at the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church. Family members and siblings gathered together to look on as the Scouts received their merit badges, rank advancements and other special awards. The troop consists of 25 scouts, who, since last fall’s Court of Honor, earned a total of 40 merit badges, while five scouts advanced in rank. One Eagle Scout was awarded an Eagle Palm, for earning five merit badges beyond those required for Eagle. The troop also earned the 2014 Journey to Excellence Gold award, which is based on a successful and active scouting program in the troop. The troop is sponsored by the Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church and the Tahoe Douglas Rotary.
