Tahoe Recreation, a division of California Land Management (CLM) and the operator of Forest Service campgrounds and beaches around Lake Tahoe, modified the menus offered at its snack food outlets to include more healthy options. “We are pleased to be able to add items to our menus that include healthy options for snack foods. Our menus will now include organic fruit strips, multigrain bars, apples, oranges, gluten free beef jerky, organic hot dogs, vitamin water and all natural smoothies,” said Eric Mart, President of California Land Management. “These items are offered in addition to the traditional snacks such as ice cream and nachos. We are committed to good customer service and many visitors have indicated they would like to have some different options. We hope these additions meet their needs.”

The food outlets – at Inspiration Point, Pope Beach, and Nevada Beach – have been in operation under the name “Tahoe Treats” for several years and are popular with the visiting public.

Tahoe Recreation has been in business at Lake Tahoe since 1985 and operates all of these facilities under a Special Use Permit from the USDA Forest Service.
