The Nevada Division of State Parks will celebrate National Kids to Parks Day on Saturday.
The day is meant to celebrate the great outdoors and support First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move Outside! initiative,
“We want to inspire children to, at least occasionally, put down their phones and spend time outdoors,” Eric Johnson, deputy administrator of the Nevada Division of State Parks, stated in a press release. “Programs and interpretive events are scheduled year round at parks throughout the state to help reconnect our increasingly urban population with the real world.”
