The South Lake Tahoe Fire Department received a Technology Innovation Award at Tuesday’s City Council meeting.
The award, which was was given by iPCR, the Electronic Patient Care Reporting System for Fire and Ambulance Services, has only been given to five agencies in 20 years. It was given to SLTFD to recognize the exemplary work in implementing a technologically advanced patient care system that is fully electronic, according to a press release.
Dion Nugent, CEO of iPCR, presented the award to South Lake Tahoe Fire Department Chief Bruce Martin.
“This award goes to our entire paramedic crew and specifically to Engineer/Paramedic Kim George and Firefighter /Paramedic Sophie Tetlow for their subject matter expertise in patient care reports,” Martin stated in the press release.
